The number of adult and junior golfers that have become attached to the Golf Performance Centre over the last few years is astounding.

Parents are always asking the GPC team what they need to do to take their son/daughter to the next level in golf or where in the world can they take their young golfer during the winter months to enhance their child's game whilst also working on their own.

I am very proud to announce that from July 2009 The Golf Performance Team has formed a working relationship with the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida as it links in perfectly with our training principles and provides facilities for both adults and juniors to train in a world class environment.

The David Leadbetter Golf Academy (DLGA) has impacted junior golf more than any other academy in the world, and has become the standard by which all golf camp/academy programs are measured.

In September 2009 my 19 year old daughter Rachel Connor began working at the IMG Academy on the post graduate programme to prepare for life as a professional golfer.

Rachel was an England International from aged 13 years until she turned professional this year, she says that she has learned so much in her first few months at the IMG Academy that she wishes that she could have gone there much sooner. ' The IMG Academy is often described as 'The world's toughest playground' I like this description. We work hard and we play hard at the Academy but we all have this common goal - to be the best that we can be. My game has improved so much since I came to the Academy, I trust the coaching staff here and I love the way that they see you as an individual.'

At DLGA-Bradenton, the team combine the “Leadbetter Philosophy” of teaching with The Academy training philosophy. Junior, collegiate, adult and professional students do not focus solely on swing mechanics, but are guided in other areas such as tournament preparation, practicing techniques and course management. Sessions at IMG Academies' Mental Conditioning, as well as physical training at the IMG Performance Institute, are important additional components of the program that build golf athletes who can “play,” not just swing.
